A free Pomodoro timer that works like the kitchen timer it was named after

Pomodoro Dial is an online Pomodoro timer with no account, no ads and nothing to install. Focus for 25 minutes, rest for 5, and after four sessions take a long break. The dial shows your remaining minutes the way a wind-up timer does, and a chime tells you when to stop.

How to use it

  1. Pick a session type. Focus, short break or long break. Each has its own length in Settings.
  2. Adjust the minutes if you want. Use the −1 and +1 buttons, hold Shift for five, or click the digits and type a number.
  3. Start. The dial winds down. Pause any time. The timer keeps exact time even when the tab is in the background.
  4. Take the break when the chime rings. The next session is ready for you. Turn on auto-start in Settings if you want it to begin on its own.

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

Francesco Cirillo came up with it in the late 1980s while he was a student, using a tomato-shaped kitchen timer. Pomodoro is Italian for tomato. The method is simple: work on one task for 25 minutes without interruption, rest for 5, and after four rounds rest for 15 to 30 minutes. Short, fixed sessions make starting easier, and the breaks keep your attention fresh across a long day.

Will it remember my settings?
Yes, in this browser on this device. Clearing your browser data resets them.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The page fits phone screens, and you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu.

Yes, with no ads and no paid version.
